I'm Finnish, based in Washington, DC — and I know what it feels like to figure out how things work in a new country from scratch.

I spent several years in a senior HR role at an international technology company. Part of my role was getting HR up and running in new markets — fast, often building the process from scratch. I've navigated unfamiliar employment laws, worked through employment contracts, benefits and payroll setup under time pressure, and made sure the first hire landed correctly when everything was new.

I know the feeling when the business is ready to move and HR has to catch up quickly. That's exactly where I help Nordic companies in the U.S.

I have worked over 15 years in HR across Finland and the United States, as a recruiter, HR Business Partner, and HR Manager in international organizations.

My understanding of the U.S. HR landscape has been built on the ground — through hands-on work, real situations, and a deliberate commitment to formal learning, including earning the SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification. I am also an ICF Associate Certified Coach (ACC).

I work with a small number of clients at a time, which means you get consistent, personal attention throughout our work together.
